Maicee turns 7

Maicee's 7th birthday landed on a school day so we got up early and made her birthday breakfast. She requested scones, strawberries with whipped cream and a blended mocha. That's my girl! She was excited to open gifts she received in the mail from Ama and Papa as well as Emmy and her family. She also had many messages left on the machine with birthday wishes that afternoon. Later that week she did her "annual birthday shopping spree" with Grammy Sana. Happy Birthday Maicee Anne!

Arrrggg Matey!

I offered to make the birthday cake for Eden and Micah Nicholson's party. Shanel and I chose the pirate cake using my new favorite, marshmallow fondant, but after hearing that there would be 70 guests I quickly added the treasure chest cake. It was a good thing we had two because every single piece got eaten. Happy Birthday Eden and Micah!

Mother's Day

Josiah's world view

Josiah has figured out how to turn on the camera so I often find photos he has taken without me knowing. Here's a glimpse of what life looks like from a 3 year olds perspective. Hilarious! Reminds me of Rainman.

Good Job Maicee!

Proud Grandpa and Dad

Maicee has decided karate is her thing. She's been going regularly for just a few months but was already up for earning her next belt. This was her first belt test. She had to count to ten in Japanese, tie her belt correctly, perform the Fuku Gota Ichi kata and spar other white belts. The following class she found out she passed and was presented her yellow belt by Sensei Peoples and Sensei Mike :) We are very proud of her and excited she's decided to follow in the Peoples family footsteps and learn karate.

Boy Stuff

Josiah got drums for his birthday from us and Grandpa Jr. and Grammy Sana. Yes it's loud but he LOVES them. He practices often and is learning to love all things musical. He also "helps" Daddy whenever he can. Mowing took twice as long but Josiah felt so accomplished when they were done.

Beautiful!

The happy couple - YEA!!

We just returned from the most beautiful wedding! Emily and Ben were married on Saturday. Michael officiated the service and did a great job. Sadie, Gentry and myself were bridesmaids and I made the cake. It was a family effort and was just perfect. Here are just a few pics I got inbetween decorating, chasing kids, primping, and brides-maid-ing Em. I will post the link to her photographer's website when her pictures are ready.
